Designs increased home value and sale price

My wife and I engaged Sally's services on the recommendation of a family member who was ecstatic with her level of knowledge, friendliness and expertise. We were so blessed to have been put in touch with her. The process from start to finish was a pure delight. Having never done any of this before, we didn’t know where to start but Sally's professionalism shone through and she guided us along the entire process. Whether it be from the amazing samples, plant orders, dealing with the contractors or planting the trees with her beautiful family the vision she helped create allowed us to achieve well and above market value for the sale of our home, a price we never would of achieved without Sally. We will forever be grateful to her!!!

We are very happy with the garden results

We engaged Sally Bourne Landscapes on a friend's recommendation. Sally arrived with a bucket of freshly picked green "samples", tagged books and ideas to discuss issues we'd emailed earlier. Her horticultural knowledge was demonstrated with highly appropriate suggestions for some difficult areas at the first meeting - and throughout the transition phase - that ensured the garden had its best start and would flourish. We are very happy with the garden results and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing this journey with Sally.

Our experience with Sally has been excellent

We were able to involve Sally during the construction stages of our home. She listened carefully to what we wanted from our new garden and was really thorough in working out slopes and soil types across the block. We were delighted with the design that Sally developed which took best advantage of the slope of the block and met our requirements for relatively low maintenance and low water consumption plantings with an emphasis on Australian natives. She provided a very comprehensive scope of works which gave great direction to the landscaper we engaged to do the job. Sally also helped with accessing plants and providing advice on alternative plantings where necessary. Our experience with Sally has been excellent. We have been impressed with her skills and professionalism and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.

One of the best investments we have made

Working with Sally has added significantly to our quality of life! From the outset Sally worked diligently to understand our individual needs, ensuring that the whole family was heard throughout the design process. The result is a landscape which we ALL love being in that fits with our busy lifestyle and nurtures us individually and as a family. We can honestly say Sally's services were one of the best investments we have made.

Expertise and experience in landscape design

Sally Bourne came highly recommended to us for her expertise and experience in landscape design. We employed Sally for an ‘on site landscape consultancy’. Sally listened to our needs, ideas & then used her experience to not only suggest garden ideas to suit our requirements but also to suit our gardening abilities, climate, soil type and rainfall. After consultation Sally supplied thorough consultation notes which coincided with what was discussed. The notes were very self explanatory, easy to follow and contained plants Sally recommended. Since consultation Sally has been generous with her time and made herself available by phone & email to answer questions we have about our garden. She has willingly sent us photos and ideas to further develop our garden plan. We would highly recommend Sally based on her professional skills and ability to personalize her service to suit our needs.

Professional and very easy to deal with

It gives me great pleasure to write this reference for Sally Bourne Landscapes. Sally Bourne was asked to design us a safe and inviting playground for children aged 0-3 years in April this year. Sally drew a landscape master plan in consultation with the centres needs and ideas. On every occasion of dealings with Sally I found her professional and very easy to deal with. We were thrilled with our finalised plan and now we have undertaken our stage one works we are very impressed with the plan and our newly landscaped yard. We can’t thank Sally enough for her help in creating a new playground for children aged 0-3 years, and I have no hesitations in recommending Sally for future works.

Attention To Detail

'We have used the services of Sally Bourne Landscapes on several occasions now, the latest being a landscape design for our new home in Grenfell NSW. Sally showed great interest in our likes and dislikes before the planning stage, then consulted with us on several more occasions before our final design was drawn. The detail in Sally's drawings are amazing and her buying, planting and maintenance schedule makes the whole design feel very achievable for us. We highly recommend Sally Bourne Landscapes to anyone undertaking any form of landscape works'.

Communication Through The Whole Process

'I approached Sally Bourne Landscapes on behalf of the Canowindra Fitness Path Working Party to design a plan for a proposed community walking/cycling path, exercise sites and landscaping. The result was an aesthetic, imaginative, achievable plan very much in keeping with the local environment. We loved the way she gave us various design and landscaping options to choose from and that she consulted with us and the community throughout the process. Sally’s professionalism, background in working with different local Councils and high standard of work make it easy for me to highly recommend her for any large community projects'.

Ongoing Advice and Support

'I have prepared this reference for Sally Bourne as testimony to the works she has done in designing and ongoing advice whilst establishing our garden.
We live on a rural property so we were not confined for space and basically gave Sally an ópen book’ to come up with a design and to put it to paper. We did place a small no. of constraints, namely minimal water requirements, low maintenance and use of native species.
Sally carefully incorporated existing plants with other new plantings. The curves of garden beds, textures, foliage and colours of the plants she carefully designed & planned out make it the beautiful garden it is. It was essential our garden was water wise, which Sally also achieved.
Whilst we have constructed our garden in stages, Sally continues to be helpful, provides advice & shares her knowledge. Not only has shed designed the beds, Sally has also provided advice where to buy plants from in our local area and what size of pots to get them in. As the garden has continued to mature and grow Sally has come back with advice and is genuinely interested in the progress of the garden.
We have many compliments on the garden and more importantly my family and I are very happy with it'.

A Pleasure to Work With

Taking Advantage of All The Seasons

Our home was designed by a local architect and constructed in an elevated position in a paddock which was part of an old sheep breeding property we purchased some years ago. Once the construction of the home had advanced we engaged Sally Bourne to design a master plan for our garden. The design included the area of the paddock to be fenced to enclose the residence, the machinery and hays shed as well as the layout of the driveways within the garden area.
The garden has been designed to provide shade in summer with deciduous trees closer to the house with natives forming a windbreak around the perimeter to provide protection from the south westerlies in winter. We are extremely pleased with the plan and plant selection which has left a view to the vineyard and hills in the distance yet providing a sense of privacy and enclosure from the paddock beyond. It takes advantage of our climate where we receive the full impact of the four seasons. The garden has been developed with some help from contractors however mostly our own efforts so at this stage we still have quite a lot of work to complete the project.
Sally has taken a keen interest in the garden over the years and has always been receptive to our ideas and ready to provide advice as the garden has developed. We look forward to working with Sally in the years ahead.

Thoughtful, Creative & Textural

'Miss Sally Bourne was engaged to undertake the landscape design proposal, gain council’s approval and supervise the project management of our landscaping at Bilgola Beach throughout 2001.
We would like to commend Sally for her accurate interpretation of our design brief with her careful and sensitive consideration of both the site’s heritage features and the Architect’s intentions.
Sally’s plant selection and placement was thoughtful, creative, textural and complimentary to our unique environment and vibrant in its variation.
Sally coordinated Pittwater Council’s approval and close consultation with the Landscape Planner and accurately interpreted the Council’s strict guidelines with flair.
Sally willingly oversaw the Landscape Contractor’s tender process and offered meaningful advice on the final selection. Finally, Sally oversaw the installation of the garden according to the plan and assisted in the review of the final result.
We are absolutely delighted with the garden and would like to commend Sally for her patience, honesty and integrity throughout the entire process'.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

'Canowindra Public School is situated amongst one of the nicest environments in the Central West of NSW.
Each day Teachers, Staff, Children and Visitors all benefit from this environment of learning and play. With the skills, knowledge and expertise of Sally Bourne this beautiful place has been created. Sally when approached by P & C and Staff at the school to design a garden to hold up to daily traffic and improve the presentation of the School put her heart and soul into making this project happen.
Delivering a detailed plan and spending time explaining the plan made this decision very easy to make and go ahead with.  Grasses, natives, trees and special places including a Kindy Fairy Garden are all in the lovely things you find when walking through the School Grounds.
With no hesitation would I recommend the professional services of Sally Bourne Landscapes if you are considering any works for a school or private property'.

Dedication & Professionalism

'It is with great pleasure we pen this reference in the hope that it enables many more homeowners to benefit from your dedication and professionalism.
After putting our heart and sole into the creation or our new house we then required a special person who could complete the picture for us and help turn it into a home to be proud of. Sally, as you know, we were delighted with the design you drew up and were very impressed by the professionalism and efficient way you constructed it.
We are not the only ones who love to look at and enjoy this garden. When it was finished many people stopped to admire it as they walked or drove by.
Recently the garden took First Prize in the “Waterwise” section of Pittwater Council’s “Beautiful Garden Competition 1998”. It was always a “winner” äs far as we were concerned, but it’s a fitting tribute to you for your vision and hard work. Congratulations!
Thank you Sally for making his little piece of Pittwater even more beautiful and feel free to use this letter and recommend any intending clients to visit to see this garden for themselves'.

Highly Practical & Attractive Space

'Thank you very much for the way you conceptualised, planned and executed our newly paved barbeque area.
You have blended it in with our older style garden and it works brilliantly.
As a result of your landscaping, we have replaced an overgrown, unmanageable and unusable area with a highly practical and attractive space for our extended family.
Thank you for the professional way you carried out the project'.

Jon and Pat Isaacs, LINDFIELD NSW 2070
